Saint Martin de Porres' Respect Life Committee believes that the first important step in fighting abortion is prayer. The second step, after prayer, is to help people better understand the horrors of abortion. To that end our group has:" Sponsored periodic pro-life Masses at St. Martin's." Prayed a nine day novena for a pro-life outcome to the November 2000 election." Attended the pro-life Mass sponsored by the Archdiocese of Denver at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Denver, Colorado on January 20, 2001." Created an "Abortion Facts" brochure." Instituted the weekly "Celebrate Life" column in the church bulletin." Instituted the selling of abortion information books in the St. Martin's religious goods store." Volunteered at the Boulder County Catholic Pro-Life Ministries booth at the Boulder Creek Festival on May 26 - 28, 2001.Our committee meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Hall. Come join us and please PRAY for an end to abortion.
